Sick thugs filmed themselves hiding party drug ecstasy in chips and throwing them to seagulls. The video shows one yob holding a red and green pill which he puts inside the chips. And a man is heard laughing to his friends as he throws the spiked chip to a nearby flock of birds who gobble it down as he says: “Have some.” The 16-second clip caused outrage when it was put on Twitter with most people slamming him for trying to drug and possibly kill the birds. One poster said: “Imagine even finding this amusing or taking the time to record animal cruelty. Be different if it was a dog.” One horrified user alerted the RSPCA, leading the owner of the video, thought to have been recorded in Newcastle, to call her a “grass”. The antics follow several recent attacks on seagulls since one reportedly swooped down on and stole chihuahua Gizmo from his garden in Devon. A spokesman for the RSPCA said: “We are aware of this video which appears to show someone putting what looks like a pill inside a chip and feeding it to a group of gulls. “However, we are unable to discuss complaints about what action may have been taken for legal reasons.”
